Fronted by jazz violinist Hannes Beckmann, Sinto was initially an unlikely collection of musicians (ex-The Rattles, Embryo and Between), whose debut album was partly very British styled rock, a touch jazzy and bluesy, not unlike early Colosseum, Mogul Thrash, Aquila, et al., yet not as progressive.

SONHO NEGRO saw a move to different realm, concentrating on the jazz angle more and drawing in all sorts of World music, Afro and Latino edges, like the most twee Carlos Santana or Jorge Santana's Malo, maybe almost a German Osibisa. On this and subsequent albums they became the project of Hannes Beckmann and whoever else he can get, mixing in ever more jazz and soul styles. Giving up the ghost Beckmann later went solo, releasing a number of albums, debuting with: THE GIPSY VIOLIN SUMMIT, and such-like that don't really look so interesting to us!
